Here’s one of a series of videos we produced about sustainable living. The series was broadcast on TG4 and we love them so much we just have to share one of them!
In this video, we meet Johnnie. Following in the footsteps of his father, Johnnie began cutting seaweed on the Connemara coast when he was a child. Now with a family of his own he balances his working life between fishing and seaweed harvesting. The methods which Johnnie employs have changed very little over the years however the seaweed which he collects is now a highly desirable sustainable material.”
