We were over the moon to be asked by Amnesty International focusing on the Open Community organisation, the national support organisation for Ireland’s Community Sponsorship programme for refugees. The goal of the video was to encourage communities across Ireland to get involved and welcome a refugee into their community. With so many global issues affecting so many, a video like this is an important tool in convincing people to participate in welcoming refugees to Ireland.
Amnesty International is an international non-governmental organisation focused on human rights. The organisation says it has more than ten million members and supporters around the world. The stated mission of the organisation is to campaign for “a world in which every person enjoys all of the human rights enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international human rights instruments.”
